On 23rd May 2025, Luton Hospital had the distinct honor of hosting the CMAKE Cocktail Dinner, a special Continuous Medical Education (CME) Forum that brought together Care Managers from top hospitals and insurance companies. The event, held at our Ngong Road facility, was an inspiring blend of learning, networking, and celebration—centered around a shared commitment to improving patient care in Kenya.
Graced by our Executive Director, Mr. Albert Mandela, alongside other respected healthcare leaders, the evening served as a platform for dialogue, professional growth, and the strengthening of critical partnerships within the healthcare ecosystem.
A Night of Learning and Insight
At the heart of the event were impactful CME sessions that delved into wellness, women’s health, and emerging trends in patient care. These educational segments were designed to equip Care Managers with practical tools and updated knowledge to improve healthcare delivery and patient outcomes across institutions.
The focus on continuous learning aligns with Luton Hospital’s belief that advancing healthcare is a collaborative and ongoing journey—one that demands staying informed, connected, and proactive.
Vision for Growth: Becoming a Level 5 Hospital
A key highlight of the evening was the announcement of Luton Hospital’s ambitious expansion plan. In his address, Mr. Albert Mandela unveiled the hospital’s vision of elevating its status to a Level 5 facility, a bold step that reflects our steadfast commitment to delivering accessible, advanced, and high-quality care.
This milestone initiative will involve expanding service capacity, upgrading infrastructure, and deepening clinical specializations to meet the evolving needs of our communities. The Executive Director emphasized that partnerships with Care Managers and other healthcare stakeholders are central to achieving this vision—ensuring seamless, patient-centered experiences from hospital admission to recovery.
Strengthening Partnerships for Better Care
The cocktail dinner underscored the importance of collaborative care pathways, especially between hospitals and insurance providers. Attendees had the opportunity to exchange insights, discuss challenges, and build stronger ties aimed at delivering more coordinated and efficient care for patients.
We were also delighted to welcome HIFU Kenya as one of the event’s partners. Their presence and input added further depth to the conversations around cutting-edge medical interventions and personalized patient care.
Looking Ahead
Luton Hospital extends its sincere gratitude to all Care Managers, healthcare partners, and supporters who made the CMAKE Cocktail Dinner a resounding success. Your participation and enthusiasm reaffirm our shared mission: to create a healthcare system that is compassionate, collaborative, and future-ready.
As we move forward, we are more committed than ever to building strong alliances that prioritize patient well-being and deliver lasting health outcomes.
Here’s to more conversations, more collaborations, and a healthier future for all.
